When my wife and I started working with Kelly Anderson, he was young and the third young, confident financial advisor that our bank hired in about five years! We began to think these young folks saw the bank as a safe training ground until they went out on their own. We didn’t want to be viewed as useful “practice” clients. We wanted competent, advice and guidance from someone committed to serving us for the long term. I asked Kelly why we should listen to a “whipper snapper” like him. He was somewhat taken aback, but very professional and went on to assure us he was not looking to refine his skills at our expense.
He did eventually leave, and we stayed with our bank. BUT we also followed him.
He has been our advisor now for at least 18 (?) years. He advised us from our early years at Mayo, through my retirement, through the difficult time of my wife’s illness and death and advised us continually to obtain an estate plan, and the guidance of an attorney. He has served above and beyond!
During my wife’s brief illness, he visited with her and me at an our home and consulted with Mayo staff services to assure my wife that our finances would be competently managed for my benefit after her passing. He continues to expertly manage my finances and provide wise advice.
I have nothing but praise for Kelly. He has been professional, an excellent listener, compassionate, a skilled money manager, insightful, and the model of a Christian man.
I would recommend this still young man to anyone who desires such characteristics and speaks truth even when it is hard to hear.
